SSO and SCIM for Bluebeam Accounts

Bluebeam is now in the process of rolling out their single sign-on (SSO) and the system for cross-domain identity management (SCIM). The Bluebeam SSO will allow users to log into Revu 21, Studio, and Bluebeam Cloud with their SSO credentials instead of a Bluebeam ID (BBID). Bluebeam currently supports SSO configuration only for Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure Active Directory) and Okta AD.

Here are a few things to keep in mind about Bluebeam’s SSO, as it is still in its early phases and not yet available for all Bluebeam customers.

Requirements:

  • Has purchased or converted a minimum of 50 seats to a Bluebeam subscription plan.
  • Is not already configured to use SSO with Bluebeam products and services.
  • Is not utilizing Studio Prime integrations.
  • Has users located only in the US region.

SSO and SCIM configuration should be performed by either the IT administrator for your organization or the contact who manages Entra ID for your organization and has the Global Administrator, Application Administrator or Cloud Application Administrator role for Entra products.

You must coordinate with Technical Support to ensure the administrator has the proper IT Admin permissions for the Subscription Management Portal to perform these configurations. A user who has Org Admin permissions cannot configure SSO and SCIM.

If your organization qualifies, and you are interested in finding out more about the process, take a look at Bluebeam’s SSO Process Overview. Here is also another link to Bluebeam’s instructional page for the SSO configuration.

Additionally, here’s the Request Form to initiate the process of getting your company using Bluebeam’s new SSO.
