Recently we’ve seen quite a few support cases coming through about Autodesk Revit having weird errors and that causes the user to either not be able to use the program or it wont even open.
I myself have been a victim of these errors and here is a little trick to get Revit to open and find out which one of those pesky add-ins that we love so much might be causing the issue.
First, let’s close Revit completely. Second, we’ll head over to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Revit\Addins\[Version], Third, open Autodesk Revit and bring back (1) Add-in at a time to see which is causing your program issues.
After those first 2 steps Revit should open and you can test each Add-in as needed.
