Course Description

Prerequisites:

Familiarity with Windows based computer operating systems, an understanding of civil engineering terminology, and experience with Autodesk AutoCAD-based products, are all assets for this course. Students should have a good working skill level with a minimum of 80 hours of work experience with the AutoCAD Civil 3D software, as well as a basic understanding of corridor models and intersection design.

Expectations:

Using the interactive, dynamic functionality of AutoCAD Civil 3D features, civil engineers are enabled with the ability to design complex corridor geometry including medians, variable width road geometry, road rehabilitation, and additional methods for dealing with unique site conditions.
