Here’s an update that might affect how you or your IT department currently get your Autodesk software and how you can transition to get your software starting in July of 2021.
Autodesk will be ending the availability of boxed software (DVDs and USBs), effective July 7, 2021. This means you will no longer be able to order software on a device and this will help reduce in Autodesk’s collective carbon footprint and prioritize customers’ preference for the convenience and accessibility of online access.
Starting in July 2021, all customers will need to download their software by connecting to the internet. Either through your Autodesk account, the Autodesk Desktop App (installed with your software), and AVA.
This information will be updated on the Autodesk Knowledge Network on December 15, 2020.
