Autodesk announced an interoperability agreement with the Nemetschek Group!

Collaboration from different departments internally, other firms, and clients in general can be a challenge with all the different software and tools that are available, even within the same industry.  The announcement of Autodesk working to open channels of interoperability with Nemetschek Group shows their willingness to be in the forefront of a fast growing world of connection and taking the steps to make it easier than ever for their users and those they work alongside to exchange data and create a more efficient workflow.  While you may not be as familiar with the Nemeteschek name, chances are you’re using one of their brands daily if you’re in the AECO industry, Bluebeam.

All these factors will help enhance several industries and the ability to work smarter and more seamlessly across platforms!  At Seiler, as resellers, educators, and overall advocates for Autodesk & Bluebeam products, I’m excited to be able to use this new collaboration to create even MORE streamlined workflows we can provide as tools for our clients.

What does this mean for you & how will it work?

  • improved collaboration and efficiencies for the architecture, engineering, construction and operations (AECO) and media and entertainment (M&E) industries
  • cloud-connected tools powering automation and unlocking valuable insights for better decisions at every stage of a project
  • optimized workflows across Autodesk and Nemetschek allowing data to flow more easily from one cloud platform or desktop application to another
  • enhance existing interoperability between the two companies’ industry cloud and desktop products by both improving existing data exchanges and opening new data-centric workflows
  • Autodesk Platform Services (APS), a set of open Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and web services, that enables Nemetschek’s dTwin, Bluebeam Cloud, BIMcloud, and BIMplus to connect to Autodesk’s industry clouds—Forma, Fusion, and Flow—and design solutions
  • enabling customers and partners to connect their data and capabilities across the respective solutions
  • by creating a silo-free ecosystem to collaborate, teams can work from the same digital model on end-to-end workflows
  • giving developer access to the two companies’ solutions including AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max and MayaAutodesk Forma, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam and more
