Do you have any questions that you’ve always wondered about “how-to” and best practices with Autodesk Revit?

Send me (Brian Myers) an email at [email protected] and ask me the question!  As soon as I get a free few minutes I’ll write up a blog posting to answer it.  We’ll answer your questions and help others in the process, so come on, let me hear your issues! :-)

In the mean time, I’ll add this little nugget (a forgotten tool in Revit):

If you are on Subscription, a Revit Extension is available to you called FREEZE DRAWINGS.  Freeze Drawings will “freeze” any Revit view by creating a 2D Drafting view of it and placing it under your Drafting Views in the project browser.  Imagine “freezing” a 3D view and it converting immediately into a 2D drafting view! This functionality is often used to keep the current design iteration for eternity in the project as a “historic” reference without the risk of it being changed/altered. I’ve also seen this tool used to easily export out to AutoCAD views for consultants to utilize / review while saving the view for your own (unchanging) reference in the project.

I hope this was helpful and I look forward to seeing those emails!
